Community – Understanding – Development
The Veteran Resources section provides valuable networking resources and empowers veterans to connect with one another, fostering a strong and lasting community. Whether you seek employment resources for Veterans, help with PTSD management, or connecting with other Veteran in your community, we have tools for everyone.
Through education, advocacy and community building, our mission is to create a country which honors and supports Veterans of all generations.
This section opens the door to some of the many available groups and programs for Veterans. Please contact us if there is a link or association that you would like us to include in our list. Know that with Veteran Resources, your most trusted peoples are always watching your back.
Thank you for your service and commitment.
Team Rubicon unites the skills and experiences of military veterans with first responders to rapidly deploy emergency response teams.
Team Rubicon seeks to provide our veterans with three things they lose after leaving the military: a purpose, gained through disaster relief; community, built by serving with others; and self-worth, from recognizing the impact one individual can make. Coupled with leadership development and other opportunities, TR also aims to “bridge the gap” between military and civilian life.
Everyone’s recovery process is different. Depending where you are in your own rehabilitative and transitional process, we hope you find a program that fits you and/or your family’s needs.
Remember, you are not alone in this journey. Whether you are newly injured or have been on the path to recovery for a while, WWP is here to support you as you define your new normal. Please explore our program offerings below.
No one gets left behind. To that end, we strive to provide veterans diagnosed with any asbestos illness the best information, advice and assistance we possibly can. From filing for VA Disability Compensation, to helping veterans find the best medical treatment, we never stop fighting.
Because veterans comprise the single largest group of Americans diagnosed with mesothelioma and asbestos lung cancers each year, they are the most affected, yet their needs are the most underserved. There are many benefits available to veterans, which many overlook. We envision a day when we are able to ensure that every veteran diagnosed with mesothelioma or asbestos lung cancer is able to get the best medical treatment available, and that they receive any and all VA benefits for which they are eligible.
Continued acceptance as the professional association of choice for all military officers and their families by:
- promoting the enduring values of military professionals;
- serving as the most effective organization shaping relevant government policy;
- delivering relevant membership value that grows membership, with specific appeal to chapters, as well as currently serving members and their spouses and survivors, and;
- providing high-quality products and services to help members meet their professional, financial, and family needs.
Veterans often cope with stress after returning from multiple deployments. They may also suffer from illnesses and injuries that can contribute to a substance use disorder. Addiction delays an already complex social reintegration process and can have negative repercussions. However, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs offers treatment plans to support veterans as they recover from substance use disorders.
